Hi, has anybody tried a Lokar TV cable LOK-KD2AODHT (Summit number) on 87 Tbird with 5Ltr EFI AOD trans?

I have heard from a few people that yes, it does indeed work.

I used one on my 87 sport 5.0, but had to tweak some brackets to mount it. I have to adjust some file sizes to post some pics, but I can if your interested.:D

Did you buy the lokar bracket also? (TCB-40EFI)
Tweaking is ok as long as I can get it to work.
Pics would be great if you get the time.
Mine is now held in place with a Levis button, which just happens to be the right size.
Fords plastic bushing was not an 18 year solution.

You can still buy new bushings from Ford, about $2 ea..:D

Sorry for the delay in posting these pics, hope they can be of use to someone.

First pic shows the piece I made to adapt the Lokar hardware to the factory accelorator/ kick-down bracket:

second and third show the adapter on the factory bracket:

The next two pics are of the Lokar bracket attaching the cable to the tranny boss, but I felt it wasn't lining up right, so second pic shows the cable with the factory bracket. Worked much better that way I think. Last pic shows the connection for the cable on the throttle plate. The stud for connecting the cable to the throttle plate was to long and the ny-lock nut washiznitting the adjusting screw, so a little spacing with a s piece of hose worked nicely.

I'll do the bushing thing first and see what happens.
