the bird will be on the road next friday

i haqve the bird running good enough im going to start driving it. however it is not as happy as an occasion as one might think it would be. to get it on the road im having to put my truck (that i have been driving since i was 16) away. the reasons y i am parking the truck are 1 i cannot afford insurance on two rides, and 2 the trucks wiring has gotten so bad that every time i drive it somthing else stops working. so i am going to completely rewire the truck and hopefully i will have it back on the road within a couple of months. what an extremely happy and at the same time depressing time this is.

yeah, my first real car was an beat up mazda truck. It was technically my grandma's, but I had alot of firsts in that car. Including learning to drive a stick in it. Had a "automatic" clutch in it. It would bleed out after about 2 seconds cause it had a leak in a seal or something like that. Sure made starting out easy. And, I could chirp the tires in 4th gear, even though it wouldnt accelerate in 3rd going uphill.

My grandma sold it for $180 and we found it in the junkyard 2 weeks later.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
