I need some knowledge!

Hey guys, I havent been on often since I got rid of my cougar :shakehead. unfortunatly im having some minor difficulties with the subaru that took its place and I couldnt think of any better place than here to pick some brains. I have a rear wheel that is knocked pretty far out of alignment from a recent accident :hick: The trailing arm was twisted causing the wheel to tilt out at the top looking much like a backslash \ when viewed from the rear. in addition the front latteral suppport is bent causing a small but noticable tow in. this causes it to ride the very edge of the tread\ sidewall in a  nasty elliptical. now what i need is to know whether this is something  i should bother trying myself or if im better off having it done. it looks rather simple, just a few bolts and the parts shuld fallright out (keeping the spindle ass. supported of couse). has anyone here had any experiance with this type of suspension before? pointers would be nice to help decide what to do. i know this isnt alot to go on but ill post some pictures when the light gets good enough to take em, and please feel free to ask any questions to help clarify anything.

Since Suburu's are synonomous with 4 wheel drive and not knowin which year or model you have, I'd try to obtain a shop manual or equivalent literature 1st to see what you're getting into. Hopefully its fairly easy componet replacement that doesnt require messing with CV's or half shafts in order to remove and replace what u have damaged. But pictures and text in the repair manual should be able to show you the degree of whats involved, regardless.  Dont know how much mechanical aptitude u have, but good luck with it.

whats up dude...hows it goin. its been forever since ive been under a subaru but from what i remember it should be pretty streight foward. it all bolts right in place with no adjustment (if i remember correctly) so it should be pretty easy. maybe take it too a chassis/body shop and have them check too make sure its not too tweeked. if it was 4wd than give everything a cood carefull look over. good luck man...
