What transmissions came in the supercoupes? I know of one that the engine went in and i dont really have a lot of faith in my tranny so i am looking at possible replacements. Thanks

Auto or 5 speed?

the automatic is an AOD, the 5-speed is an M5R2
It's Gumby's fault.

Isn't the 5 speed a Mazda trany with a hydrolic clutch.

I am pretty sure that 87-88 had the hydraulic clutch, and that may be a Mazda, but the earlier TCs had a cable activated T5.  Even the brake and clutch pedals for the cable cars have Mustang part numbers on them.  I just dont know when they moved to hydro.

Also, but not 100% sure at all, I thought the autos were A4LD, like in the 4 cyl Stang, and the Ranger, and the Aerostar.  Ford still uses the same basic design of the A4LD in the Lincol LS, the 6 cyl Explorer, '05 Mustang.  All they did was change some simple internals, and electronic valve body, and added another gear ratio to make it a 5 speed auto.

The topic is on SUPER coupes.

and FYI all turbo coupe with sticks had t5's (only in '87,'88 with the hydraulic clutch).  '83-'86 had C3 autos and yes '87,'88 had the A4LD.

Oh yeah, so it is.  Haha, I was thinking Turbo Coupes because this is mainly Fox chassis

FYI  94-95 supercoupes had the 4r70w

and the m5r2 for the 94-95 had different gear ratios
