Some fun removing extraneous wiring....

Well, I'm in the process if sorting out the MegaSquirt install in the Tbird and getting things located and whatnot, so in the process of sorting out the NEW wiring....I decided to nuke the extra  wiring I'm not going to need.
Namely this includes, power door locks, illuminated entry & power seats.  Neither of the doors on the car are original and neither have the provisions for the illuminated entry and the door locks haven't worked in a while.  Also, since I'm converting to non-power seats, I figured the extra wiring for those can go as well.  I'm keeping power windows and mirrors.
So it's been alot of unwrapping and tracing wires...also fun since the illuminated entry module is in the trunk :nono:
I pretty much have the driver side done aside from rewrapping the wiring and I need to pull the extra junk out of the pass door.

Once I get my connectors and such for the sensors I can begin the new engine harness :hick:

Sounds like a fun project - I'd love to completely strip my car and rewire it the way it should've been. If I ever were to ditch the fuel injection in favour of a carburetor I'd do just that...

I've pitched the fog lights, ABS system, and stock fans...but I don't really feel like chasing down all the wiring to get rid of it too.

Yeah, if I were pulling the dash, I'd get a bit more out of there, but there is some that would just be too much of a PITA to remove.  There is some stuff in the engine bay I'd like to take out, but with the engine and such in the way it would make it difficult.  Perhaps when I do the engine swap and clean up the engine bay I'll take care of it.
