Now that it has been done, we can all avert our efforts back toward building Chevy's with Chevy's and Fords with Fords.

Dead shagy lookin '68 but why didnt he just use Chevy's 302? I realize he already had the engine but why?

On another note, I really want that intake.

Which one? There are two intakes on that thing. Two engine shots over time.

Anyway, he already had a finished 302 for a fox mustang, but sold the Ford without the engine, and bought the '69. Still, a SBC 302 would have made a lot more sense. Still, I know guys on here have a hate on for SBC powered Fords, so I thought this might balance the forces a bit.

Sweet, my preffered make motor, in one of my favorite old school pony cars.  It's pure automotive bliss.

It was the first intake, the blue one.
'68 not '69, they had a different grill and taillights.

(Yes, FORD!) I already had it! Was going into a ‘93 Mustang. Sold it for this ‘68 Camaro. Engine is worth to much to let it go. This ought to get the shiznit stirring. There is a benefit! I can move it back farther for better weight distribution.

You're right. For some reason I thought I'd read 1969.

Considering all the aholes I see around here in first gen Camaro's I'd love to have that thing.

Rsx 302? :screwy:

Ok I'm confused. In the picture where it's sitting on the checkerboard floor, it has a completely different engine in it. WTF? :dunno:

Chevys version of the 302 was bada$$.Sorry to say that but that was one high revving engine they had.

Interesting, but half a dozen Ford engines wouldn't change the fact that it's still a Camaro.

I also believe other people have expressed much stronger desires than I have to see a Ford engine get put in a Chevy body just to piss off the Chevy people.. so maybe I'm not the one you want to address this to. But hey, I guess I'm the most memorable choice since I've been so vocally anti-Chevy. (and ONLY Chevy.. I can appreciate other GM stuff, especially Olds and Pontiac)

Well since we got this out of the way, how about Mopar engines stuck in both Fords and Chevys? :p You can buy new 426 Hemi blocks, from what I gather. As much as I appreciate the Ford 427, I think it might make a bitchin' ride to build a new-old Hemi (not the new Hemis.. although that could be done, too) and stick it in something out of the ordinary like a Fairlane T-bolt ripoff. Or how about a Fairmont..? :p

As a side note: I explained to you before why I dislike Chevys, (except mid-70s and earlier Vettes, and '62 Impalas) and it's because of the majority of Chevy fans I had encountered in the past. Well, they might get some company, because I'm getting that way with (newer) Dodge truck guys, too. About to blow one truck forum off because they're all a bunch of wanna-be rednecks.. except for the fact that they're fans of a truck (the newer Rams) made in Mexico and the profits go to Germany, which doesn't seem like a very redneck sort of thing to support. There's just too much stupidity going on over there for me to tolerate for long. I think half the users there are "i'm gay as hell" quality.

Not meaning to nit-pick :D  but that looks like a '67. '68's have turn signal markers on the fenders and quarters. This is my wifes '68 SS.
