Another spring question...

OK heres a good one for you guys.....  I just picked up an 87 5.0, I have been through the Mustang thing and now am looking forward to something a bit different.

I want to lower my car and happen to have a set of stock springs from an 00' V6 mustang laying around.  Will they fit, will the spring rate be too low, anyone do this yet?  Let em know what you think and if nobody has done this yet, I may just try it when I am replacing my struts and shocks and let you know.  I am not looking for a large drop, maybe an 1" to 1.5".

Any guesses?

You could give em a try...I've been told that  stock SN95 springs will lower a thunderbird around 1" or so, so the '99+ springs might be a little less (since it's a heavier car).  I have no idea what the spring rate on them would be though.

Guess the only way to find out is to try it!
