I like those late 70's 'birds. My uncle had a '78 much like this one on ebay...

His had a tan interior though.

I wouldn't mind getting one of those T-birds for my grandmother, who has fond memories of owning one new. However, that car (from the original post) I'd have to put out of its misery.

I saw a gold 77 T-bird today when i went to the junk yard. It had a rust hole in the quarter panel about the size of my head :D .

On a sad note there was an 88 Turbo Coupe in the yard as well. It's dark blue with a dark blue leather interior, dual power seats, a 5 speed, sun roof, every other option, and NO RUST. I mean NO RUST on the body or the underside. The paint was almost perfect and the wheels had no pitting or anything. It had 85,000 miles and was almost perfect. I have no idea why it was there. I asked if they would sell it (you bet I was going to buy it. I don't care if I would have had 3 cars I wanted that car) but they said once it goes into the yard it can't be sold whole. So in other words an almost perfect dark blue 88 Turbo Coupe is going to be crushed in about 2 weeks. Makes me sick:mad: .

I'll say that I do like the idea of the roof cut right there.  That's about it, though.

There are rescue societies for unwated dogs. with the same motives, someone should buy that car and save it from an awful fate.
