xbox live...

any one ever experiance a problem with there headset on xbox live? i can hear people talk but i don't think they can hear me at all. what would cause this problem? also the mic is an open mic.

It could be that the Mic connection is bad.  By that, I mean the wires may be loose in the mic itself, not the plug-in.  that would cause you to still hear people, but they dont hear you.  Or it could be that nobody wants to talk to you LOL :)

Make sure your not muted.  Lol, I know it's retarded, but you may have accidentally pushed the mute button when you were playing, and not noticed.

well the mute button is at my xbox and the light is lit so its not muted or if its off its not muted hummm don't know.

Are you using a corded headset or wireless, or blutooth. X-BOX live headsets have a way of getting shorted seeing as how they plug into the communicater in the controller, so try to pull on the wires leading from the headset to the controller while playing, odds are new headset is required. which can be had for under 20 bucks, stay away from mad catz though, the trash of all gaming.
