90 Camaro RS Reply #34 – December 12, 2005, 11:29:36 AM Well it seems that most people here hate the camaro rs. It may not be the fastest car out there but its still a nice car. Here are pics of my 91 and like I said it may not be the fastest but its not that bad as everyone says, its fun to drive and looks pretty good in my opinion. Quote Selected
90 Camaro RS Reply #35 – December 12, 2005, 11:40:07 AM When properly taken care they can be good cars. The problem is that they need TONS of attention (much more than the average car...even when newer). Yours looks good. I like the color. Quote Selected
90 Camaro RS Reply #36 – December 12, 2005, 11:56:26 AM Wow spaz, I would so drive that car. hell I would buy that car. I love third gen convertables. Oh and the problem was related to the coolant temperature switch on the intake manifold, car runs good now. still a tird though Oh and I see a 80's monte over there. Thats another one of my favorite cars. It has rust though :( Quote Selected
90 Camaro RS Reply #37 – December 12, 2005, 12:07:13 PM I personally love those cars, really like the lines. Again, I've seen some which make some pretty nice power with the 305 TPI after it has been modified a bit. Quote Selected
90 Camaro RS Reply #38 – December 12, 2005, 02:12:21 PM This thing has never had any problems other than the heater core going and havin the terrible antifreeze smell from it leakin into the cabin. Other than that, it starts up right away and never gives me a hard time. The guy that was gonna swap a 351 into the cougar for me has an 88 iroc that he built up, has 500+hp, and he offered me a trade straight up cuz the convertibles are so rare, I don' think he was actually serious, just trying to get me to give it up. Now his car was ridiculously fast, fastest car I've ever been in. Thats an 88 monte you see in the pics, its my mechanics. I have always loved the monte ss, when I was first looking at cars(before I knew my mechanic) that was what I wanted but I ended up getting the cougar. He came today and took my 88 blazer to replace the ball joints and axle u joints but he left me that. That also has a 305 in it and he has really taken care of that engine, it has 160k and still runs like its as young as my camaro(63k). He appearently blew the doors off a late 90s gt and everyday that gt drives by his shop revvin his engine and peeling out tryin to get another race out of him. That thing has an amazing exhaust on it, I thought the cougar exhaust was loud but his about 5 times louder. He has stainless steel duals, no cats, into a flow which is right underneath the front seats and then dual out, one on each side before the rear tires. It's quiet at idle, but once you get on that, it roars and sounds so good. His brother is a body man and hes gonna do all the body work this winter and then once my mechanic gets it back, hes droppin in a 383 stroker. Quote Selected

90 Camaro RS Reply #40 – December 19, 2005, 01:27:16 PM Like I stated earlier, I almost bought an 89 Camaro/IROC until I fell in love with my current ride, an 88 Mark 7. I still feel like I might purchase one down the road, after I have completed my Mark 7, 67 Chevy hot rod project, and my latest toy, my 88 Silverado. Quote Selected

I saw ur truck in the other tread, looks nice. This is what I got for the winter(88 K5 Blazer), I bought it last april and since, put on an exhaust and 33" bfg mud terrains. Quote Selected
