Hit at work.... again

Well some of you may remember the thread I had a while back where my bosshiznit my car. All went well and he took care of everything. Guess what... I got hit again.
This time it's much worse so needless to say, I'm not happy. Bright and early tomorrow morning, I'm going hunting for a white Buick Century.
It may not look like much in the pic, but this thing is big and it just so happens to be along one of the sharp body lines. What fun. I think I'll start making my own spot up on the grass.

That's his '05 Tiburon.

That looks like someone hit your car HARD, almost seems intentional.  That would PISS ME OFF.

Yep, it's my Tib. Nothing like having a car for a few months before getting hit twice in the same fender.
My name is Fred by the way. Sorry, took it out of my sig but look at my avatar and it's not too hard to realize;)

Well, I didn't see the car today. I saw two that were the possible hitters but one had gold door edge molding and that wasn't the one. The other one was heading out to lunch so I saw it leaving the parking lot but it's a possibility.

So here's the deal. I have four people one of which is a manager who noticed the car parked there so they can't deny where they were parked. Once I find the car, I'm going to look at the door which should have a bit of my blue paint on the edge. If it does, I'm taking pictures and with a measuring tape going to measure the height from the ground up to the mark on there door. Then I'm going to my car, measure with the tape the height of the mark on my fender. If they are within about 3 inches of each other, I know I found the one who hit me. I will take down their tag and luckily one of my friends mom works for the MD State Police. She'll run the tag and find the owner for me and then I'll contact them.
Now if they get nasty with me, I'll get ahold of my insurance. They already told me that if I get them the tag number of the vehicle, they can find who it's insured through and battle with their company to get my car fixed. I also have to check to see if I'm covered for vandalism if all else fails.

This is what gets me. Now it was raining the day I washiznit. That car parked next to me many times without any problems. So I'm thinking that they were in a hurry when they left so they wouldn't get wet, opened the rear door of the car which hit my car, threw something in the back and then jumped in the front. Okay if this is the case, they didn't mean it and it was an accident... HOWEVER, just because it's raining and you don't want to get soaked isn't an excuse to be careless around other peoples property. They are the ones who parked next to me as I was there first. They also chose how far they were going to park from me which if I remember correctly was about 2 to 3 feet.

I stopped by a place called Dent Doctors to get an estimate. Looks to be around $170 which includes popping the dent out and putting a new pinstripe on. Pinstripe is torn pretty bad but the pic doesn't really show it. They told me it would still be visible but atleast wouldn't be dented in.

I'm sure some of you are probably reading this saying something like get a grip, it's only a dent, it could be worse. I know it could be worse, but there's nothing like the feeling of buying a brand new car with no miles on it and doing it on your own with no help at all. So no matter how little or big it is, any body damage really  me off... unless I do it myself. I love my cars and am very buttstuff about them... well maybe not as buttstuff as Karl:giggle:

Okay, here's the update.

I found the car! It even had part of my pin stripe stuck to the driver's side rear door. So I left a note and actually got a response. Not from the owner of the car, but from the passenger who rode in the back seat that day. She told me to get it estimated and let her know and she'll take care of it.

As I posted before, I went to dent doctors but they said it would still be visable. I want it invisable though. So I went to a body shop that's part of a major dealership and got my new estimate. $443. So they don't have to tape off any plastic parts, they are going to remove my bumper, headlight, inner fenderwell, and the side gill. Then cover the car fix the damage, respray and repin the fender. I'll be waiting for a response from this woman. She'll probably have a heart attack.
