I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

thats jc whitney,... that kit might not even exist. their used to be a list of kits on coolcats.net, but a few of em bit the dust... our best bet now is to probley modify mustang ones to fit us. if we dont start makeing our own parts soon, we'r not gonna have any left to find anymore lol.

yeah, if I was anything for body work I would have fun with it. I want to mod the 87-88 cougar one if I can save enough money for one. I want to make it fit the 86's. Even if it sucks. Then I can say I tried

Hm...that kit might exist, but it's probably just some small air dam for the front, and some generic side skirts and a small valence panel in the rear. Doubt it's anything to get too excited over.

I think '87-88 Thunderbirds look great as they are, I'm not much of a fan of body kits either.

The link didn't work for me for some reason but I bought my first kit from jc whitney which was the mcK plastics kit but I thought they stopped selling it. I haven't looked at jc whitney in a while though so I'm not too positive. I was trying to find a kit for the longest time but was having a hell of time doing so because of GST going out of business and all. Well i decided to go with this kit: http://http://www.wickedbodies.net/83-90-Tbird.htm, I don't think I got it from this site though, I'll look into it. It doesn't look that good on the site so I wasn't too sure about getting it but it's on and it looks pretty good although it was made for a thunderbird, its on my cougar. The only reason I replaced the mcK kit was cuz last winter I slipped on ice and hit a curb destorying the front valance.

I've had it back for a while but was waiting until I got my rims on it before showing you all. The rims are coming next week so I'll take some pics and post them. Also I kept the side skirts from the mcK plastics on the car cuz they were fine so I have the side skirts from this kit, unused, lying around.

Man, that's kinda ugly...of course it doesn't do much for the looks of the body kit when you put it on a base thunderbird with hubcaps. I'd like to see it on something lowered with 17's and see how it looks.

well my wheels won't be here til either the end of the week or next week and since we are getting a huge snowstorm soon and probably the rest of the winter, I probably won't put them on until spring. But here are some quick pics of the front and rear valance of that body kit. I got fog lights going in but haven't had a chance to them on yet. I wanted the gst kit but had to settle for this, but I'm happy with it.  Let me hear opinions.

that one looks alright. im not much of a fan of putting on a GFX kit just for the sake of puting one on. imo not too many of them look good.
