Anybody use Comcast?

Just wondering if anyone uses/has used comcast and how you would rate their service, installation, and customer support.

The campaign i'm currently on at work deals mostly with comcast customers and in the last couple months I have found it to be a real shoddy operation judging by most of the people we speak to. Just wondering what others have to say about it.

All opinions and experiences welcome

Comcast is the Devil. My parents haven't had anything to do with them in over 10 years but my sister had their service in her apartment. She didn't have the internet but did have their digital television service and I can tell you that sucked.

there has only been once problem connecting(with the modem not the comptuers) in the 2 or 3 years I had it. Also, when you cancel with them, talk to them first. They are bitches if you just say I wanna cancel it. Also, they will not set up your internet for you when your computer is reformatted. They kept telling me to talk to my computer manufacturer. When I told them I made it, they told me to take it to a local computer repair shop.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I have comcast internet for over 6 years now, I never sub'd to the cable tv so my bill has always been $42.95... over the last year they keep threating to raise my bill to $58.xx or I have to sub to cable tv... to keep the $42.95 price. Everytime they tell me this I tell them to cancel everything and I'll go dsl , so far the 3 times they tried this they backed down...

The service is fast and reliable. Over  the last 6 years I've only been down 2 times that I know of..

This has been pretty common from what I've heard. They tried pulling this with the digital cable too. Tell them you'll get satellite and they will knock that price down and you get free movie channels for a month. If you threaten politely, you will recieve benefits.

I know the topic is mostly on the internet related front but the same basically applies to their cable TV service.

Its BS here, everyone locally with Comcast has a lot of problems. Including myself

ill get knocked off of the internet 3-4 times a day, you call them and they say "theres nothing we can do", we're actually going to start looking at going with DSL, even if they talk about fixing the cable that runs down the street, or lowering our price, which is absolutely outrageous. For standard cable and cable internet, we're paying 92 dollars a month
It's Gumby's fault.
