Ram Air?

Does anyone know of a company that makes a working Ram Air hood with an eliminator style scoop for our cars. Or custom order hoods for that matter?

Cervinni's is the only company that I know of that makes any type of ram air hood for any Thunderbird, and it's for MN12's. Plus I'm pretty sure it's dual scoops.

if ya got the money, im sure you can find a shop to make you one, but its gonna be real expensive. best bet would be to get a fiberglass hood somewhere and modify it, or have someone do it for you. we are pretty limited on hoods as far as options go, their are: turbo coupe, a 3" and 4" cowl hood. i think theirs 2 people that make the 3"...

Yep, only aftermarket hoods I've seen for these cars are cowl induction hoods. I must say though, I've seen a couple '87-88 bodystyle thunderbirds with the cowl hood on them and I think it really fits the lines of these cars.

Thanks for the advice everyone. There is a cool bodyshop near the base that should be able to do that for me. Perhaps if I let them do the body kit/paint they will do it for cheaper! :hick:  All will add up to my top secret cougar! MwaaaAAHahahahah! :welder:

You mean as in actually forcing more air in, or just looking pretty?
Anyone done a wind-tunnel smoke test on our cars to see how tall
it would need to be (or how far forward) to get out of the dead air
near the hood created by the "bow wave" at the speed needed for
it to do any good?
