84 and 85

Ok im stell working on the 84 getteing all the 10 years of sitting cleaned up lol. What i was woundering i had a 85 thunderbird and it was pretty  fast had a 5.0 in it. And i was woundering is there any power difference with the 84 and the 85?

84 will be alittle bit slower. I think those are CFI, the 85's are too. The 86's are SEFI and they are alot faster.

unless whom ever had the 85 before you did something to it, they should be exactly the same.

Well my 85 bird dident really have anything done to it , just that when the trans mission went out i had to get an aod out of an v8 mustang and i keeped it tuned up like plugs and wires and stuff like that every other month. Are the efi's really that much faster than the tbi?

yep. can't remember the figures, but I think 30 HP or so.

most tbi's are 130 hp the SEFI are 150
