Header won,t fit November 03, 2005, 05:50:52 PM I was installing some shorty headers on my 88 Tbird with a V8.However they are hitting the motor mount on the driver side.I only got the frist bolt from the firewall in.The mount would not allow the others to line up.I am not sure of what the header came off of(Mark or Mustang). So what do I do from here? Header won,t fit Reply #1 – November 03, 2005, 06:55:05 PM If itshiznitting the alignment pin, cut it off. If itshiznitting the stud, trim it down to the nut. If it still hits, time to dimple the header. I don't think I've heard of stock headershiznitting the mounts. Quote Selected

Header won,t fit Reply #4 – November 03, 2005, 07:40:41 PM i had to heat and bend the tab on the mount for stock mustang headers and the tbird mounts. the tabs are there to hold the motor if the mount breaks. if thats what you mean anyway....it was more the passenger side than the drivers though.
