At this point....universal stuff from JC Whitney is probably it. Here's what I know at this point:

- Door seals from a 1984-92 Mark VII seals are a perfect fit. No aftermarket for them as far as I'm aware.
- Mustang door seals are too short...they're correct but just not long enough.

I saw some eBay auctions the other day for door seals that are for our cars. Can't tell if they're new or used...my guess would be used, from the wording of the auctions. Quality is unknown.

My vote would be for universal JCW stuff. I've been using some universal weatherstripping on the convertible with good success. You have to remember, that car has some weird parts to begin with, plus the top stuff is all GM, so anything I can do as far as seals has to be custom. So far JCW has not let me down.

If I ever get better weatherstripping info it will be plastered all over here, and on my site.

Any luck with the outside window seals? The ones that go along the bottom edge of the window?

JCW universal stuff seems to work for 1983-86 cars. That's what I've been using with perfect results. I believe the OEM rubber is stapled into the aluminum trim. You have to remove the staples, and upon installation of the new stuff, just drill new 1/8" holes and use pop rivets. That's been the only hassle I've run into.

For 1987-88 cars...you're screwed! The weatherstripping is part of the trim. I know of no way to fix that.

K, I found one of the auctions: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/83-86-Ford-Thunderbird-Cougar-Trunk-Weatherstrip-Seal_W0QQitemZ8011434567QQcategoryZ33656QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Visit their eBay store here: http://stores.ebay.com/1A-Auto-Inc-All-your-Parts-Needs_W0QQssPageNameZVIStoreHeaderLinksQQtZkm?

Now it's saying new seals in the package. If someone buys something from this company, feedback here would be greatly appreciated.
