So after several missed CatJams, my wife and I are finally going to make it.  Even though we live up in (lower) PA, I plan on hooking up with Team MD.  Who's going and where are we going to meet?

There's been e-mailing going back and forth between some of the MD guys. There will definitely be a good number of us going, but I am unsure as to what route they are planning to take this time around. We might be heading through WVa?

This that to avoid the tolls?  Or just a change in scenery?  I'm guessing I70W - I68W - I79N.  Then on to Pittsburgh?  Not a problem for us.  I drive out to cumberland once a month for equipment preventive maintenance.

I'm still holding off on final preparations until the car is actually running.  Hopefully there will still be rooms at the hotel.  Waiting on a few parts to come in to finalize the engine.

Was just checking the low-down on this year's CJ and finally found my way here.
For those who don't know me, I'm Kevin from Findlay, Ohio and CJ05 was my first event. I have a '95 XR7 that's pretty much stock in the body and engine, but I have a few visual mods goin on. The main one, for me, is the ICELED UFO underbody light kit (that will hopefully be added onto before CJ06 if the shipment makes it here on time). Other things include color changing painted dash/console, racing style, lighted seat covers, and a PS2 running to two visor monitors.

I really enjoyed myself last year and will definately be at this year's!!
Dennis, sorry to hear you won't be making it, and Steve, I'm glad to hear you will be.....finally. :D  You know how much I lovvvvve your Cat!

Looking forward to seeing those of you who I met last year again, and meeting the ones I didn't for the first time.

If anyone coming from the West or North would be interested, RT224 that goes into Boardman/Ytown comes right through Findlay and if anyone wants a more scenic and more importantly FREE way to get there, maybe we can meet and caravan over on 224. It will be slower, but it's a straight shot and there's no tolls. Just a thought.

Well, considering I already have the time off from work, I'm 90% sure I'll be there.
Doubting I'll have the Cougar ready by then so I'll probably be in my Tib (please be gentle)

Cool! I'm assuming they are, ummmm, Blue?  :D
If they arrive from the UK in time, I'm hoping to have a couple more things to light up.

When do you plan on going? I am planning on taking 224 from the Akron/Canton area all the way out.

I'll prolly be leaving here sometime Friday morning, like 9'ish or so, maybe 10. That's about when I left last year and got there about 1 pm.

Just to let everyone else know also. I just tried to book a room at Red Roof and they are booked up, no rooms available for CJ weekend. This kinda sucks, I stayed elsewhere last year and kinda wanted to stay at Red Roof this year. Guess I shoulda booked earlier, huh?

I just looked up where Findlay was, and you are about two hours west of me. I was planning on working Friday till 5, but if you are planning on being in the Akron area about noon, I may just work a half day and meet up with you.  I am planning on driving back and forth Fri. and Sat. seeing as its only about an hour drive for me.
