Hate to tell you guys but...no White Castles here in town. Can't really say where the closest one is...Akron?

But LJS is right around the corner from the hotels. ;)

Si, I think it's around the Akron/Canton Border on the way outta town via 76/77. That and they're all over Columbus and such.

Whitecastle has a really bad stigma in southeast ohio.  NO one eats there.

How about Red Robin? Dolly's Pizza?

Sonic?

None in northern Ohio. Last I remember the closest one was an hour east of Columbus.

I'm out from CJ too now. Going to be a lame summer but I really believe it's for the best, for me and the car.

As of now it looks to be a year to two year project to accomplish these fetes that I thought up.

Pull out and rebuild the S.O. 302. Make her really run.
Transmission has been rebuilt 6k ago so that's good.
tbird Rear End Swap
5 Lug Conversion
Brake Upgrades
17 Inch Wheels
Black Interior
Black Carpet
Black Stang Seats
Suspension Upgrades

It's just not economical and wise for me to drive around a beautiful car that has some minor detail work missing.Things like that just dont fly at shows. Puting miles on her at this time just doesn't make sense.  So count me out from Carlisle and CJ but please guys give me a hand if any questions arise in the next few months with my new purchases and advice.

Good Luck to all and I really wish I could be apart of this great event. (Eric I hope to donate as soon as I get some money for the charity for the club). Can't wait to hear about all of it and many many pictures please!

Wow Steve. Looks like you have some major plans!

However, even though I respect your decision, are you sure you're making the right one? It seems like you aren't enjoying your "recreational" car, especially when it already looks so incredible. As you already know, Cat Jam's evolved into something where everyone is accepted, with or without a Cougar/Bird, in any condition. It just wouldn't be the same without people like Karen, Brian, Aaron, etc. This is coming from a guy with one of the ugliest Cougars around - it's about meeting everyone else, not judging each other's cars in terms of what's been done or upgraded. On top of that, your Cougar is one of the best looking ones in the community. I'm just lucky to own a somewhat driveable Cougar, and have bondocougar to help me out when i'm in a pinch!

It's hard to do everything I want to do to my own Cougar because I'm in school and don't work a 40-hour/week job. However, I'd gladly put off Cougar upgrades and spend a couple hundred of those dollars every summer to make it to CJ. IMO, it's a much better use of money. There will always be something else to buy for the car, but there's only 1 CJ a year.

No way man.... In order for me to financial be able to do this I can't drive the car (insurance, gas, registration, inspection, plates, maintance, etc)

In order to compete with the big boys at the shows I gotta do this. (And I want to smoke the hell out of this one kid in my town)

He drives a 2000 Eclipse that runs mid 14 seconds and he think he is the shiznit. His Dad drives a 89 Super Coupe and one night I told him if your dad races you it'll be a  close race, and that i think the Ford will beat him. Well since that he has ran is mouth about Thunderbirds, Cougars, Fords, and me in general.

I want the engine to do something with. So it's time for me to get something done.

Steve your car is 90% together correct? Just bolt the body kit back on and call it a day untill august.

Besides Cat Jam without a bright blue Cougar will be like CAT JAm  , Just missing a little something...

So let me get this straight.  It's more important for you to beat someone that is always going to think your car is a hunk of shiznit no matter what you do than to spend time with friends that appreciate what you have and also like you as a person and actually enjoy your company?

Wow.  That defies logic.  Not judging you or anything Steve but it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
