this is off topic, but Glen, is that a dead pedal?
It's Gumby's fault.

Does Mr. Coolcats and the Hawk still have turn signal indicators?

I do for sure...I hacked up an old TC cluster and just reused the turn signals, high beam indicator, brake light, and seat belt light.

Wiring...that was not fun:

I imagine the wiring for that gauge setup did suck...hell the wiring for my 3 gauge panel was worse than I expected. When you have 4 or 5 wires per gauge, you end up with a whole lotta freakin wires to run.

Bet you wernt able to put the clear plastic from the old gauges over the new gauges were ya. I have been working on a way to get the gauges to mount so I can still have that plastic over the top but its been a little difficult. I have just been too busy having fun with BOOST:D  One of these days I will have to finish mine because Autometer gauges look sweet.

Nope, won't work...even if it did, there'd be a hole in the plastic somewhere that you just can't cover up. :) I don't know why but it seems like that plastic just attracts the dust anyway, with static electricity. Even in a convertible I've cleaned the gauges way less with them out in the open, than with the stock/buttstuffog gauges behind acrylic.

Yes it is....came in VERY handy for track days when I had the stock seats.

Yep.....like Eric, I hacked up a factory setup for my Auto Meter gauges. I maintained all the factory warning lights, hi-beam indicator and turn signal indicators. The only difference really between Eric and my setup is the amount of gauges. I did a mock up first with 6 gauges like Eric did but I guess because of my height (6' 3") and my preferred seating position, no matter how I positioned them I couldn't see the two upper gauges as they would be blocked by the steering wheel so I went with 4 instead.

I've noticed the same thing.....it keeps very clean compared to when the plastic cover was there.

Glen, I'm 6'0" and have a hard time seeing the gauges too, even the stock ones. I kept monkeying around with ideas for the new gauges and was going to do what you did. Then it hit me: countersink the bottom two gauges. That allowed me to keep the stock configuration, and all the new gauges in their same places, and still see them all. Even though I have to slightly stoop a little to see the top gauges behind the wheel, I'm happy that I did what I did. Just had to be a little patient with the Dremel tool. ;) I love your setup though. Very clean and straightforward with nothing to obscure your view. Cool.

For you guys with the pillar pods, what part # did you use, or where did you get them?  I am considering using one for my guages.  I have seen some on e-bay and in summit but I wasn't sure which ones worked best for our cars.  Thanks, jason
