Finally getting around to it...

I was going to keep it all under wraps untill it was done, or almost done, but im bored, so im posting it here

no, its not assembled, i just set the heads and intakes on it, and for the hell of it, i stuck the headers on it

the plans for it right now are basically fully tear down the short block, clean everything the best i possibly can with what i have, reassemble it, stuff an HO cam in it, HO upper and throttle body, and gather all the other stuff i need for the swap, which will all come in time

still need a water pump (not gonna be a factory one, youll see later on), oil pump, oil pickup, head bolts, intake bolts, mounts, and all kinds of that small stuff that i dont have just yet

theres a lot im doing that im not going to post, not yet anyways, its not for going fast, but its just a setup i want to run, maybe next time i get bored, ill post it up

i also need to take some other pics, i have a distributor sitting in it, and valve covers sitting on it
It's Gumby's fault.

the problem is trying to hook up on those steel wheels, and trying to make it down the track on the casters up front
It's Gumby's fault.

i own them... enjoy installing them.. i did'nt :shoothead

you won't be able to use the stock 3180/3186 starter. you will have to use the late model starter 3205 or after market mini starter

but they will fit!!! but not fun!!

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

The fitment isnt too much of a big deal, my engine bay will mostly be empty, and since i havnt aquired a started yet, ill be on the lookout for one that will work

what made them oh-so-fun to get in, i see on the drivers side, one of the primarys kicks out pretty far
It's Gumby's fault.

well since they are equal length long tubes.. all tubes fit tight everywhere..

oh and you asked about the one tube that sticks out real far on the drivers side well  :giggle: that goes around the steering shaft..

since i have had mine "about 3years" i don't know if they changed anything about them..

Shawn how meny slip s does your headers have? "removable headertubes" i think just about all of mine are except three of them i think..
the one that goes around the steering shaft should be removable
