arg, help me figure out the model of these beauty (sorry no pics available)

okay guys, need some help. I just saw a really clean bird. but i can't place the model.

4 eyed
two tone, silver over grey (or vice versa only saw it for a couple seconds and was just so in awe my brain started to melt)
darker interior
sounded like an 8 (sounded just like my old one guessing cfi from the way it started)
wheel covers where solid with tbird emblem in the center and regtangle cut outs around the circumfrence

didn't get to talk to the lady she stepped in and pulled out as I was pulling into the gas station, but it was CLEAN, needed a wax and some buffing, but no visible body damage and the hub caps where even pretty clean (by the gas station overhead lights at least)
I wanted to offer to buy from her on the spot but
1: I have NOOO money  :yuck:
2: I would be wifeless if I did.  :nono:

anyway. I coudn't place the model off the top of my head and my phone doesn't have a camera..

The hubcaps sound like the ones that were on my very base '85 model. I'd guess it was probably a base model...

No, believe it or not the wire wheel covers were optional. The T-Bird and Cougar GS both had very basic flat stamped metal hubcaps as standard equipment.

Two tone paint could be had on any model except the TC, right up until 1988. Back then people could pick and choose what they wanted in cars instead of nowadays when in order to get one option you have to buy ten other options. That's why such strange option combos exist in these cars. f'rinstance, my old '85 was a very base car with the carbed 3.8, a C5, tilt wheel, and cruise control. No power anything, no right side mirror. Non-premium AM/FM stereo with no cassette. buttstuffogue clock. But it did have metallic paint (light sage green metallic) and a full sized spare with factory cover (that took up the whole bloody trunk). And it had a dark grey interior, something that was apparently very rare with the already rare light sage green paint.

That guy's been trying to sell that for about a year. He probably would've saved money if he'd given it away, after all the ebay fees were paid...

Well 4 headlights gives u some idea of the year right off the bat.
The 2 tone paint dont meen much because so many cars get repainted and this car could have been brown at one time then sprayed.  But u could get a T bird 2 tone or allmost any color u wanted.  I have seen some messed up color paint and interior.

Red car blue interior
White car blue or red interior
black one with red interior

Messed up? Mine's white with a red interior from the factory!

White with red and black with red are actually very common color combo's...

yah i figured it for an 84/85 from the four eyes. but i haven't seen that many two tones. and the wheel covers threw me off cause most of the hub caps i see are the wire ones.
