Hydraulic Wipers?

My 67 T-bird has the Hydraulic wipers (connected to power steering pump).  :disappoin

Does it exist an electric equivalent to replace it? or will I have to be a fitting master with a motor from an other car?

I dont know if it works right now (no engine in the car) but i would prefer to have Electric Wiper anyway....

Any tips?

I don't see any signs of leaks or anything around the fittings or the wiper linkage.  Hopefully it'll still work.  If you used an electric motor you'd have to use an aftermarket wiper switch and it just wouldn't look right in the interior.  Plus you'd have to fabricate some kind of custom bracket to attach the motor to the wiper linkage.  Either that or maybe there is another car out there that has electric wipers with similar dimensions and you would be able to use that car's equipment.

Interesting! I had never heard of this set-up before.
I sure remember the vacuum operated wipers. What a PITA they were. When you stepped on the gas and the vacuum dropped the wipers would stall. You had to "adjust" your driving just to keep the wipers working.

I've never seen a setup like that.. I think you may be stuck with it

I think they all had that setup, in the pre-alternator days (generators).

*edit*
Doh, I was thinking vaccum wipers, not Hydraulic.
