Re: 3.8l cfi to efi swap Reply #1 – September 12, 2005, 09:10:48 PM its very involved actuallyyoull need the heads, intakes, all the engine bay components (the engine bay layout is totally different), the computer, the entire engine harness, throttle, TV and cruise control cables, and a bunch of other odds and endsits as much work to convert to EFI 3.8 as it is to go 5.0 Quote Selected
Re: 3.8l cfi to efi swap Reply #2 – September 13, 2005, 03:44:40 PM If you had the tools I think it would actually be easier and less time consuming to do a full engine swap to an EFI 3.8.....But if yer gonna do THAT you could go bigger as well..... Quote Selected

Re: 3.8l cfi to efi swap Reply #4 – September 14, 2005, 12:38:27 AM the problem with the 3.8L, any year, any form, and model, is the fact that they lack powerthere are guys working on stroking em out to 4.3L, having big valve, ported out heads, intakes cut, ported, welded, larger throttle body, big ass cams, headers back exhaust, full dyno tunes with a computer being flashed, gears, all kinds of , and barely BARELY making 300 at the flywheelnow,a set of heads is 3000, intake work is almost another 800, cams are about 200, headers are 250, dyno tunes arnt cheap, then you need your fuel mods, injectors, etc...the cost is just too much for the power output Quote Selected
