1985 Cougar Floor pans. September 11, 2005, 12:59:52 PM Does anybody know of a good company that makes reproduction floor pans for these cars? Will the Fox stang floor boards work? The further I dig into this cougar the more shiznit I find. Removed the sound deadener off the back floor and found a huge rotted section on the drivers side floor. I could weld in regular sheetmetal, but I want the body to be restored so that you cant tell it's had any work done to it.PLEASE HELP! Quote Selected

Re: 1985 Cougar Floor pans. Reply #2 – September 11, 2005, 07:38:29 PM Already thought about that. Good idea if I lived in california or somewheres these cars never see winter. All the parts cougars up here are rust buckets that are totally rotted from winter driving. My cougar is actually in really good shape compared to most around here. In fact baxo's XR-7 is one of the best cougars I've ever seen up here. Plus I want it to look better then new when I'm done. These pics are of the patches I made for above the tial light as it was totoally rotted there. I was actually impressed at how they turned out. The pics don't do it justice, it looks rough but you can barely feel the joint. Just needs a skim coat of body filler and that section is done. Quote Selected
