Reply #4 – September 04, 2005, 07:33:53 PM Quote from: 5.0willgoThat's because GM can't think for themselves It's actually got a lot more to do with the fact that the guy that designed the PT Cruiser jumped over to GM and designed the HHR.Personally i like it more than the PT - it looks more masculine. If I was looking for a people mover I'd hit it, especially before hitting any SUV... Quote Selected

Re: Anyone else see these HHRs? Reply #10 – September 05, 2005, 11:40:08 AM I think GM is whacked any how so this is about normal for them. I had a guy driveing one of these come in to the parts store where I work and told me he needed a filter so being the only car in the lot I tought PT cruser and looked up the filter before any thing else he said that is not a pt crusier. He pulled another gag on the dealer counter guys told them he had a chevy pt crusier and they had to go look at it. I think Oh shiznit another shiznit rbox on wheels. If it where a real car like the CouarSE shows it ould be koo but that is just wrong. Quote Selected
Re: Anyone else see these HHRs? Reply #11 – September 05, 2005, 01:12:04 PM Yeah, the guy who made this did a much better job with the HHR compared to the PT. It actually is a decent car inside and out, one of GMs better products to date. As long as they don't make too many of them they might actually turn out a profit too. Quote Selected

Re: Anyone else see these HHRs? Reply #13 – September 05, 2005, 03:08:49 PM What do the GMT800 fullsize trucks have to do with the HHR? That thing's based on the Cobalt, not a truck.QuoteI think GM is whacked any how so this is about normal for them.Actually this is completely out of normal for GM, and the upcoming Solstice is even more abnormal. GM has become known for makking cars that lack even the slightest bit of character, style or "soul". I'm no GM fan, but I'm glad to see all of the big three producing desirable mainstream cars again. Ford has the new Mustang, Chrysler has the Magnum/300/Charger and now GM has the HHR and Solstice (which, BTW, has a base price under $20k). The Ford Fusion looks poised to be the hit that the Five Hundred wasn't, and the Milan and Zephyr actually look like decent cars as well (though the Zephyr is an embarrassment to the Lincoln name it still isn't as bad as the 89-94 Continental). The slightly upgraded Impala may still be wrong-wheel-drive but it's got a 303-horse V8 available now. The full-size GM's (Pontiac GXP, etc) now have Northstar power. Yes, the domestics are finally starting to take cars seriously again. Now, in 15 years, I'll have interesting $500 cars to chose from :D Quote Selected

Mark my word, the Zephyr will never sell as well as the Conti did. At least the Conti "struck while the iron was hot" and had a lot of unique technology in suspension, brakes, and rode the gravy train that the Taurus made...ya know, back when FWD was considered to be more advanced.
