Neat, but how did the bumper cover and battery survive the "fire"?

The guy's got a whole junkyard there with some pretty desirable "models" stacked for the crusher...

I've seen this guy have stuff on here before. He's had some that turned out pretty cool and realistic looking while others looked really cheesy. I don't think it's that bad to do this to models. Hey, it's something out of the ordinary, he paid for them so he can do what he wishes with them. It's not like he did it to a model that I built.

What I don't understand is how he can build them like this and get as much as he does for them. I saw one that went for like $80. I can't believe someone would pay that much. He just found a way to make some decent money out of a goofy idea and his free time. Can't fault him for that.

I don't fault him either - in fact one could make a pretty cool scene with those models, and I'm sure he doesn't use rare ones (Turbo Coupe models can still be bought for about $10). He shoulda left that bumper cover off for realism, though - it surely would've melted off in a real fire :D

The header panel would be pretty much used up as well.... But then it wouldn't have looked like a Turbo Coupe...

Is there a lesson here??? Yer  straight, don't go runnin around with leaking injectors(a common high milage TC problem)..

i would think that this takes more skill to paint the modles like this and have them looking bad then painting them all nice and show looking. pretty cool. i thought it was real till i read modle and then started looking at the picks

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

ive been doing some custom models here and there, the 5.0 TC, dual exhaust, lowered, smoothed out body, i did a 2.3L turbo 89 stang convertable, a 65 stang with a cammer 427, and doing that alone isnt easy, then adding more realism, its not easy at all
It's Gumby's fault.
