Turbocoupe weight

Well i've been wanting to weigh my car for a while now and see how much weight i've added to it with my stereo and v8 conversion but didn't know how to go about it.
On the way home from work everyday i pass a set of truck weigh scales(usually closed).
So yesterday while stuck in traffic i see a guy go through the closed scales and stop on the weight pad and he gets a reading,(being astounded as i thought when the scales were closed they didn't read weight),i'm like dam i gotta try that.
Today on the way home i pulled in and weighed her.
1770kg with 1/4 tank of fuel and me(weighing 153lbs) so all told it calculates out to 3894lbs.
Since i figured 38-3900lbs i guess i was dead on.
From what i,ve read a normal unmolested TC weighs in at about 3450lbs, so i've added about 350lbs in total between stereo and eng,not bad.

Yea it is weighty but you gotta remember i have at least 200+lbs of stereo gear in it as well.
Not willing to sacrifice good sound for speed i guess.

Mine weighs just about 3500lb with 1/2 tank, aluminun heads and the flyweight GT40 upper(or 3700 with me). I do have dual power seats, but no stereo goodies here....

Holy big tub of goo!!!! :p

I 4-corner weighed the 83 last year.  With a cage and other misc chassis bracing (about 125# worth), two full power front seats, fill carpet and interior, 2.3T/T-5 it was 3250# w/o the driver (so 3430# with me in it).

I'm dumping the power front seats when the Recaros go in, and ditching the rear seat, so I may wind up under 3200# w/o driver.
