possible dual piston upgrade.

while at the upullit today,i noticed a crown vic cop car with cast iron 2 piston calipers.i cant remember for sure, but i thought that i read of a brake upgrade for certain year mn-12's and certain year crownvics to put sn95 calipers and brackets on them.if that is so,wouldnt it stand to reason that these 2 piston crownvic cop car calipers and brackets would fit the sn95 spindle as well?could be a cheap alternative upgrade for those with sn95 spindles with single piston calipers.what do yall think?

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Mark7 are for fox spindles. If you want cheap dual pistons grab a set calipers/rotors from the 99-04 Mustang V6/GT. They are PBRs just not 13 inch like the Cobras are.

what i was getting at in this post is the fact of what can normally be found at joe blows local upullit.i merely got lucky finding that pbr caliper and setup at my upullit.paid 39.88 for the setup.but for someone who might have sn95 spindles w/single piston calipers and cant afford the pbr's could probably check the later model crownvic for castiron multi piston calipers.i was just checking around on some of the crownvic sights to confirm this and found out that the front rotors are 12.4".wonder if these could fit as well?probably would have to use the cobra 13" brackets.another possibility that could be checked into a little more.

did a litte research on the matter and it doesn't look practical. PBRs are not THAT expensive by the way, they are the baseline brakes for 99-04 Mustangs. If you have SN-95 spindles already then just find a wrecked V6 or go down to your local parts store.

well,i tried.thanks again for the info.got a feeling im gonna be using that sight in the near future.i apologize if i came across the wrong way.i do believe that im going to look into that 12.4" rotor though.i could probably get something made up at work to get them to fit.
