Six digits, or my baby is now a man

Today on the way to the cottage my car hit its first major milestone: 100,000 kilometers (about 62k miles). It broke my heart to see the odo go from this (sorry for the py cell phone photos):

Shoot, mine "grew up" a long time before I bought it then...bought it with ~125K on it, it's now about to turn over 149K. And that's miles ;)

Grown up!?  It's a teenager! :rollin:  The motor, tranny, and rear on my car are all under 45K miles, but that's only because she's got 203,000 on the ticker.  I believe thats what? 325000 KMs?  My car is on Geritol, it's third heart(motor), 2nd set of lungs (tranny), and has had a full on hip replacement (rear end).  You're girl's gettin ready for her prom while mine is a member of AARP :hick:

Thats bad? Will pass 200,000 MILES in probably less than 4 months, all on stock parts. Have already begun saving for the transplants when the time comes.

Awwww its still just a baby... I haven't owned a vehicle with only 62K mi since I bought the(long gone) '86 Grand Marquis from my mom back in '93. If I remember correctly it only had 45K mi when we got it. The '93 already had 65K mi when she bought the '03. Yea thats right I buy my moms old cars...

I doubt anyone can out do my freind Wayne's '88 Sport. I saw the car last Thursday and it has 334K mi(thats 538 kilos).... All on the original drive train!!!(yea its tired)

I wish mine had less than 100,000 mi on her. I watched as she turned over 200,000 3 mothes after I bought it. And this is why it has half an interior with a 88 TC blueand grey interior and a new motor on the way

Somewhere over 230k km. And it still won't blow the HG! :bs:

It's getting done this winter anyway. I'm tired of waiting over two years to use that motor sitting on the bench.

Anyway, welcome to the world of grown up cars, little white (which is a colour I didn't think still existed in Nova Scotia) T-bird. :)

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

228,000 miles on the car with the original rear and I believe it's the original tranny (possibly has been rebuilt once already but she's starting to slip now).
140,000 total miles on the motor but around 20,000 since it was freshend up a couple years ago.
