New here, My Bird Pics

Just came over here to check it out.
I usually go to http://www.foureyedpride.com But since this is a T-Bird/Cougar site thought I should join.

1983 T-Bird 5.0 cfi, aod, factory non ac car, hd suspension, 14.7:1 ratio steering.
One Family 2nd owner. I have the original order form.
Grandpa bought it new in 83.
Gave it to me 15 some years later with 89k on her.
He garaged it and changed the oil every 2500.
Religiously maintained.
Now has 140k and still runs like new.
Ford's 302 is a super reliable engine if you take care of it.
I changed the tail lights and grill to 1986 peices.
Still have the originals.

Anyway, I look forward to any comments, and to enjoying this web site.
Thanks

The car loooks good.  (I think you should put the 83 tail lights back in though :p)

Is it light blue or silver? Either way I wish I could find one even a little like it... Beautifully maintained, congrats to you and grandpa.

Nice!

Love the tires and rims. The vehicle really "stands up." That's what my late dad would have said. He always made his builds "stand up" like that. Welcome to the club.

Thanks for the welcome.
First, Let me answer the questions...

doodaa, the color is Silver. Thanks for the kind words.

Jonathan Phillips,  I used to have those wheels and tires on my 83 GT.
Didn't like em.  But, they do look pretty good on the T-Bird.  IMO.

Funky Cricket,  Not at the moment.  The interior is really good and the engine compartment could use a little tlc.  I will get some pics Later.

oldraven,  I have been told that Grandpa had to order the wing windows.  Did most people not get those?

Thanks again everyone for the nice comments, and I look forward to contributing to this site as often as I can!

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
