In Illinois if he is caught doing anything "questionable" with a minor he goes to jail. Which can't be good cause he is a skinny guy and well lets just say he would get taken advantage of. I'm not really looking I just met somebody I really liked for the first time in awhile and it went to hell. Eh if I find something great if not oh well. I guess I've got more important things to be worried about.

Some people  men and women both are just manipulative a$$holes  but most are nice just gotta keep trying and keep your guard up.  I never thought I'd be back in dating but my fiance (ten year relationship)  died.  So I was back at it  fortunatly knowing more about people and being wiser with age.  The same games still go on though.  Anyway after weeding through the loosers  I met someone nice who I like, and made a few friends along the way

Yes, women are nuts.  You can't ever figure them out simply because there is way too much mindless stuff going on in their heads.

Men cannot perceive how women can be so complex and women simply can't comprehend how men can be so simple.  That pretty much sums up what I think.

I preffer to think of ourselves as more efficient at problem solving, not simple. :D Women come up with problems, buttstuffyze them to death, and when they ask us what we think, instead of doing the same, we simply come up with a solution. It drives them nuts, too. They'd rather talk about the problem than solve it. :giggle:

This is in my 26 years of experience, at any rate.

women think with emotions, men think with logic

this is easily seen when your girlfriend tells you about her problem "jenny was talking behing my back, i found out because jessica came and told me, but tanya said jessica was trying to start a fight, but i dont know what to do, i dont want to lose any friends", and we just say "go ask jenny" or "dont talk to them"
It's Gumby's fault.

Men are definately problem solvers.  I realized this in my last relationship.  She told me about a problem she was having and I offered some solutions and she flipped out at me for reasons unknown to me.  Basically it went something like this:

Her:  Blah, blah blah blah....
Me:  What do you want me to do?
Her: I don't want you do anything!
Me:  Then why did you bother telling me?

*smack*

Yeah, for some reason women just talk about stuff instead of fixing stuff.  I'll never understand that.

Any married (or seriously dating) man should forget his mistakes.

My current relationship with my girlfriend is at the one-year mark, although we've been on and off for the past three. She has now been bringing up the subject of, gasp, marriage. Of course, she's placing a lot of emphasis on the fact that we won't be doing it in the very near future (we're both still in college, I will be graduating next year), but I know her well enough to see that if I said let's do it next month she'd say hell yeah. I also know that if I had said that I don't really plan to get married until I'm 30 or something like that I'd have probably been dumped. I blame this on the mommies, and on the  hollywood movies and on society and on everybody. I hate being pressured into something, this especially.

Holy ...you are the MAN!!

There have never been truer words. From the time girls are born it seems like the wedding thing is just drilled into their heads. Oops, I'm sorry, not 'the wedding'...'THEIR wedding'. The man has nothing to do with it, except to just show up, apparently.

Back in the mid-1990's I had dated a girl for a few years; things were going well enough, although I was never comfortable around her stump-jumper family. There started to be this overwhelming pressure from all sides to buy "the ring". So like a dumbass, I did. We set a date roughly 2 years in advance. At the time neither of us were making much money; she could never help us come to a decision on where we'd live, what we'd be doing for a living, etc. She couldn't even figure out where she wanted the wedding (believe it or not). But she did want to trade her car in for a Mustang, to live near her folks, to have a nice home with a white picket fence, to name her first daugher Victoria, etc. Funny, she could figure that much out. Well, long story short, we mutually split a year before the supposed event. She meets some doofus half a year later; within a year after that they're married. And guess what? She gets her Mustang, she gets a house by her parents (complete with said white picket fence), and then they have a daughter that she named Victoria.

In other words, it didn't really matter which warm male body was there to give her a ring...she was going to do all that stuff anyway, thanks to 20+ years of brainwashing. Thank you, society.

BIG lesson learned. My outlook completely upon relationships has completely changed. Are my standards too high now?  skippy, they are. However, I'm perfectly fine with the notion that I may be single the rest of my life so whatever. I find much more inherent value in the car. It costs less, and if it  me off, I just close the garage door and walk into the house without getting any lip. :D
