F150 Engine?

Well I blew the head gaskets on my Tbird and i think i probably warped them as well so now i have to either get a set of heads or another engine. Well my uncle has a mid 90s' F150 that he is going to junk but he will sell me the engine so my question is:  Is there a difference between the F150 engine and the stock 88 Tbird engine? Which is better?  Thanks for any help
Andrew

If its earlier than '94, the F150 engine will have a flat tappet cam, but will have the E7 heads. Also it will have the 19lb injectors. So if you want to use it with out modifications you'll need to swap to your current injectors and intake, but you can use the truck cam, just remember to use the F150 distributor.

Actually this would be a good start for a HO conversion. You'll have the heads and injectors, just need the HO cam, lifters, throttlebody, EEC, etc...
