2.3 Turbo Front Main Seal

Fixing an Oil Leak at Front Crankshaft Seal. Not the Original motor. How do Identify the Block and what replacement seal is needed?

All of the 83-88 2.3T's use the same front main seal.

Thanks Chuck, So this an 83 to 88 era motor?
It was a bear to get this gear off. couple hours, a torch, and it ate two pullers.

It's hard to say for sure what year w/o having it in front of me.

It's got the earlier AL valve cover and the square intake and a d T3. I see brown-top injectors, so it *might* be an 86 TC or XR4Ti motor. But people swap those things around at will, so it's hard to be sure. That PS pump is not found on the 2.3Ts.

Regardless of any of that, all of the Lima 2.3's, NA or Turbo with the single-plug heads, use the same front main.
