how to get digital camera pictures posted on here

I finally got brave and thought I could get my digital camera hooked up to my computer and start posting some pictures of my car and some parts I was wanting to get rid of.

88SptCoupe introduced me to tinypic.com which I was able to get some pictures sent back to my by email but I cannot figure out how to get them posted on here. I tried uploading the link of the picture in my email in the manage attachments under Additional Options with Post New Thread but it doesn't seem to work, takes forever to upload the file. The pictures I tried to attach out of "My Pictures" in my computer were to large to post. Can those be downsized somehow? I am just starting the use of my digital camera so all this is very new to me.

Alrighty with tinypic grab the url with these tags [ img][/img ] on them, paste them in your thread and you should be good to go. It will look something like this

[ IMG]http://tinypic.com/98sr35.jpg[/IMG ] <--- minus the spaces. :D

and you'll get this.

Click on manage attachments like in pic 1
Click browse like in pic2
select your file like in pic3
select close window

Just above the message window, click on the yellow icon (looks like an envelope, but it's a landscape). Type or paste the location of your pic into the popup box, and hit OK. The IMG tags will be automatically added, and your pic will appear when the thread is viewed.
