There are threads out there that are really useless and annoying. This isn't one of them. And no offense to Eric, but I never check coolcats before I post a question. These questions are what this forum is here for. At least there's something being said.

I agree. My site is (hopefully) helpful but is never meant to be the only source of info--no offense taken at all. Asking a question is the key to getting the answer...right?!

Bearmax, the SN95 rear ends (1994-98) are the identical width as the ones used in 1985.5-88 Cougars/T-Birds. They bolt right in, no issues. That's a good price...go for it.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I was being sarcastic. Point being, this thread (as asked) is pointless as threads asking how to check trouble codes. Had he been more specific or asked something about the brake lines, this could have been a decent thread (and still can be).

Good deal! All 1994-98 Mustangs had at least a 3.08 gear. Starting in 1999 they got a wider rear axle with 3.27 gears standard. Traction-Lok was standard on V8 cars.
