Help Parking Brake / Emergency Brake Cable Routing Diagram

Hi guys;

Can anyone post the emergency brake / parking brake cable diagram / schematic for a 1984 Thunderbird

I am doing some work today and need to see where all the cables go and what they attach to

I need the following cable'

cable 2a806 or 2a606 not sure of the number as I can not read it clearly

It is not either rear cable or a front cable looks like a very short cable that goes from a bracket to a pulley

O'Reilly and AutoZone only show four cables available. Front, intermediate, transverse, and one that does both rear drums.

Thank you again for your quick reply and from what I see under the car there is :

A cable coming from the foot pedal to the equalizer pulley

a long cable going from the equalizer pulley to the driver side rear brake

another very short cable going from the equalizer pulley to the bracket (this is the short cable that I need)

then a long cable going from the bracket to the passenger rear brake

need to know the number / name of the short cable from pulley to bracket (pictured above)

cable 2a806 goes thru the pulley and out to the driver side rear cable.

My 85 is on the lift and I counted 5 cables. 1) pedal to the pulley. 2) cable with threaded end for adjustment to bracket and thru the pulley and out to the driver side rear. 3) driver side rear cable to brake. 4)cable from bracket to passenger rear. 5) passenger side rear brake cable.

Thank you for your reply and info , and after reading it I went out to look again and I need the following cable:

when the cable comes from the pedal to the underside of the car that cable goes to a small connector which connects to another cable

that cable ( a short one) goes through the equalizer and has a threaded end for adjustment which goes into the other connector bracket and is adjusted <------ this short cable with the threaded rod at one end is the one I need

does anyone know what is it called and what's part number for an 1984?

Aerocoup's autozone link looks like a lift right out of the Ford shop manual.
I think the cable you want is the "intermediate cable"
The removal instructions from the '84 shop manual:
1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Remove the cable adjusting nut.
3. Disconnect the intermediate cable ends from the left rear and the transverse cables.
4. Remove the cotter pin, washer, and spring from the pin protruding through the equalizer lever assembly, and remove the lever.
NOTE: The intermediate cable cannot be separated from the lever assembly.

Advanced Auto and NAPA list the intermediate cable, but the picture doesn't show the equalizer lever attached.
Maybe they can be separated if you try hard enough.

Go to one of the parts houses in town and get all four different cables and if they don't stock them then order all of the cables. Take them home and one of them has to be the one you need. Return the others.

When I looked them up on OReilly's website they gave the lengths so that may narrow it down as well. They also had pretty decent pictures but going off that is like playing Russian Roulette with only one bullet removed.
