How's this for a rare color combo?

A black TC with tan interior. I didn't even know this combo existed -  thought you could only get tan with gold:

im curious to know about the chrome window trim around the windshield

and the console lid
It's Gumby's fault.

I noticed the chrome too, I figured the windshield must've been broken at some point and the buggered the trim replacing it. As for the console lid - that's the same lid Ive got, but mine's red. My console is from an '83 Cougar. There's a guy on eBay that sells covers for 'em (the same guy that sells the dash caps), so maybe he got one of those covers

While I can't remember seeing a black TC with the tan interior(EDIT.. yep there was one on ebay a couple of years ago, was local I went to look at it), I have seen a '88 Sport with that color combo.. Was the most bare bones sport I've ever seen, had manual windows, mirrors and seats....

yes it is, the 83-86's got the long console that goes to the back seat, and had the flat ashtray, the 87-88's got that console with the rotating ash tray, for more leg room
It's Gumby's fault.

No T-Birds?
Not even convertibles, with hydraulics?

I've actually seen a green 86 Cougar convertible (yes it was real, the top was down).  Not sure if it started life as a droptop though.  I saw it back in 99 about 20 miles east of me.  I wonder if it's still out that way or not.

the guy has obvilously done work to this car explaining the minor changes.it also is missing the PRC strutts in front and i would imagine he has  taken it out all together due to the price.still a nice car though

I had my trim like that (the "chrome" trim) on my first '88 Bird. It's just the standard aluminum trim with the black taken off, then polished.Easy to do.

This car is LOADED with options, and everything seems to function

I thought the loaded TC had some sort of extra switch in the center console.

That's the same console lid my '87 LS had in it.  I still have it in my attic.

yah, his prices he thinks he can get are a bit on the high side. 500 bucks for the engine, maybe to someone who really wanted one. the rear I can get at any junkyard on the high side for 350, hood, 50-100, but the car as a whole isn't worth more than his starting price.
