Looking for rear window trim/molding

My rubber rear window molding is in very poor shape now - it's close to cracking all the way through and has been severely warped and discolored for years. I have been unable to find NOS molding so I hope to be able to find, and retrofit if needed, some metal molding from an '87 model.

Does anyone have a car they can pull this stuff from? I'm also curious how the stuff mounts to the original vehicle.

If you are talking about the lower part of rear glass molding mine is cracked as well. I have searched for some time with no luck. Curious to see what you do with the "retrofit".

The entire single-piece rear glass molding on my car. It has been lifting in the corners for years, cracking all along the length, and the hard, brittle rubber (more like plastic today) is stained a light gray (no longer black). Of course my rear 1/4 windows also look terrible as the "rubber" is a hard, disintegrated mess, and this is from the relatively mild Pacific Northwest weather. I have no idea how bad everyone else's vehicles are in the areas closer to the equator.

I have a Bird local to me that the trim is still intact and looks great. I can probably get it for a decent price, but shipping would suck.

Good-condition rubber would fold up without issue. Anything brittle enough where it can't should probably be ignored. I'd love to find how to swap over to the metal trim.
