We're good on the bracket.  It and hardware are bagged ready to go.  Unfortunately the stuck valve in the trans broke the plastic sleeve that holds the cable housing stationary.  I can get the lock out of the cable adjuster if you want that as a spare.

Thank you,
and yes.... I'll take whatever is salvageable...

I'm going to do another check of parts I need on Monday... I'll post anything new that I might need in the afternoon.
Thanks everyone

as far as I can tell without ripping into anything....what I have listed on the 1st post is all I need for right now, along with the stuff I already have in transit, and items that I have already talked about with a couple people here in messages (you know who you are...lol)

Do you still need the air tube that goes between the throttle body and air box? I think I have one in the garage if you need it.

So far, it looks as though I'm going to need it... No big rush on that part

Jerry, if yours car is a column shift a TV cable from a console shift car won't work.  Just a heads up.

Ford part #'s are as follows:
-- Column shift: E7SZ-7F042-A
-- Floor shift: E7ZZ-7F042-A

Aftermarket ones can be had for the floor shifter, but the column shift is a Salvage yard/NOS/Ebay/Cragislist kind of deal.  I do wonder if one for an MN-12 would work.

Thread on it here:  http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?37241-NOS-TV-cables&highlight=tv+cable

E7TZ-7F042-A is apparently for 87-89 Broncos....might be worth looking into

isnt the way it connects to the transmission only difference? the one I got for my 87 had the bracket for the top mount, and the bottom mount.. I believe they pull in opposite directions

I'm not entirely sure.  I guess I should look at the mount point under the Lincoln and the Cougar and compare differences.  I'll try to get pics.

I was just thinking..... my parts bird was a column shift car..... I must still have that cable somewhere.... I remember looking at it, and saying to myself..."this wont work with a floor shifter... I believe it was to short.
I will have to hunt for it tomorrow and report back

did a bunch of searching for the tv cable....I dont think the parts bird had one. the AOD was swapped for a C6, and the column shift was swapped out for a B&M floor shifter.
The vert has the infamous kick down bar... The Lokar cable will probably be in my future

other then that.... the project will start when I receive the last of the parts that I talked about with a few members here

When I switched to a floor shifter, I made a bracket to change  it to the opposite way to work. Then went to lokar. It was the best option, besides a T5.
