Storing for Winter

Probably has been discussed before but I must ask..

How do you store your vehicles over winter if you even have winter. I live up North so I have no choice.

I store mine in a garage, jacked up on 4 stands, windows down an inch, car cover on, battery out and indoors and place bounce dryer sheets all inside the cab.

It sounds like you have everything covered. Some people advise pulling the spark plugs and putting a little oil into the cylinders and then crank the engine over without starting and then replace the plugs. also change the oil and filter to get any moisture out of the engine.  I try to take mine out for a spin every week or so if the weather is O.K. and no salt on the roads. It keeps everything circulating including the A/C. Ready to go at a moments notice! lol  Herb

Stablize the fuel and if possible run it from time to time. If it is a 5 speeder hold the clutch down to the floor so the clutch plate wont stick to the flywheel. The clutch thing is optional if you live in a damp area, Have a great evening guys!!

Like Tom said, fuel stabilizer and a FULL tank. IF you have the room, roll the car back and forth once a month one full revolution of the tire(approx 2ft) to coat the ring gear and prevent flat spots. ( I don't use stands.....I want to be able to move the car IF A FIRE STARTS while working in the shop or garage!

EDIT: As far as the bounce sheets go, I place a packet or two of mouse and rat bait under the car so they don't enter the car to look for food. This way I can monitor their activity if the bag is torn open or gone.
