Little white box

On the bottom of my clutch/brake pedal bracket at the firewall, right behind the lower part of the clutch pedal, there's a white plastic box bolted to the firewall. Maybe 5 inches wide. What is it? It has a small harness going to it.

Still trying to figure out what it is before I move it. Anybody have an idea?
