transmission line fittings

anyone know how to repair the fittings on the transmission lines into the transmission?
there is like a plastic o-ring or insert the line is locked into the fitting with, that is leaking.
I didn't know the lines were still clamped to the motor when I was pulling it out and I believe I stretched the plastic in the fittings because it leaks fluid out of them when the car is running.

The threaded end with plastic insert the line goes into can be had from ford  p/n  I THINK is E1DZ-7D273-A.  Have also seen them in the misc "get you outa trouble" assortment of parts at a few larger chains

yea  just checked my spare ones  (I have had that leak too)  p/n is correct expect to pay about 6 bucks at a dealer

yes,, the dealer has them and i did not pay that much for mine.

you can just pop the line out and then undo the fitting but i used a piece of milk jug plastic.  I wrapped it around the line then worked it up in the fitting to release the plastic ears.  I then pulled hard on the line and they both came out easy.

get all four fittings,, the radiator fittings are the same.

I agree with that, I blew one out of the radiator and dumped two quarts of tranny fluid on hot headers...  near set the thing on fire...

Yep, that's what my invoice here says (from July 1998). 
$12.64 cdn for the pair at the time.

Get the old ones out, screw in the new ones, make sure the steel trans tube ends are clean, and snap them in. They may feel a little wobbly, but O-rings inside the fittings do the sealing.

thanks guys, I was going to take it into a transmission shop, but hopefully I can do them myself
