Not sure if I mentioned it but..

I got rid of the 85 at the end of January. Back in a Ranger. It's a 87 reg cab 2.3 5 speed manual 2wd. It's solid, but it does need a LOT of work, I want to eventually put a 2.3 turbo into it.
Current: 1986 Thunderbird, 105k 3.8/C5, 2 tone  Midnight Wine/Medium Taupe, wing windows, wire wheel covers.

Former: 1985 Cougar GS 115k Oxford White/Regatta Blue, 5.0, full console, 14" 8 hole aluminum T-Bird rims, Edelbrock valve covers.

It's a spoogey lil thing, 3.45 gears if I'm not mistaken, dog on the highway though :( I know it's not a Fox, but it was pretty closely related to the Fox platform.

Perfect little truck for the 2.3T swap....other than the fuel system....being a carbed 2.3....

Should have kept it.

nope, it is multi-port, '85 the 2.3 went straight to multi-port, it was the 2.0 they stuck in the bare bones "S" models that used a carb up through '88. Yeah, the Cougar was fun, but I live in a complex withouh a garage, and that thing deserved a garage. And honestly, I was never a fan of the CFI from the get go.

Yeah, the ubiquitous Ford wheel of the time I guess, lol. The steering column, and all the switches, etc, is the same too!!

They're light that's for sure. I could swear I read one owner got it down to 2700lbs. It had a 2.3t too. Nice score.

yeah, it's not pretty but it's solid, my last Ranger, a 96, had a gorgeous shell, but the frame looked like your typical Midwest vehicle.
