Tiny Boneyard score....UPDATE

Went to the boneyard and got my trunk hinge I've been looking for. On the same car, I got the headlight switch, manual driver side seat track, seat back frame, and the center of the the center consolette. It was for power mirrors only. No options.

That car didn't have a rear window defroster,no intermittent wipers, no cruise, and a crazy simple cassette player (factory). I'm going back in a couple of weeks to get the manual window regulators and the minty dash, package shelf (perfect and blue), and maybe the stereo as well. .

The headlight switch looks brand new. No dust or anything on it at all. It really looks mint. The no-cruise steering wheel is also in the garage now.

This is an '88 Thunderbird, white exterior, blue interior. The interior looks mint. No fading on the seats, package shelf, nothing. Looks like it had been garage kept forever. The ashtrays were like new. No smoking in that car. Headliner is mint as well. It has a base dome light, not the one with the extra lights on the side. Beautiful interior. I took the seat back for my car, as one of the guys at the shop messed mine up (that gangster lean) when it was in for paint. I didn't complain, free paint job pretty much.

I know what you mean Vinnie. There are a couple little things that I'm not entirely pleased with on mine, but for the price I am paying I can't really complain. I just have to finish off a few things myself to get them how I think they should be.

That hinge will probably be going on tomorrow, THEN I can have a clear mind and do other things. That bothers me like crazy.

My car isn't perfect. There are a couple of little "this and thats", but, as i stated, free paint job, AND, it's a driver. And, it's still pretty awesome.

Is the driver's door solid and rust free?

I boogered mine up awhile back and don't have any more rust-less doors...

That car has ZERO rust on it. I'm telling you, it HAD to have been garage kept it's whole life. The seals looked brand new. The interior is mint, not a dent on it. Ultra low option. Manual windows, no rear window defroster, no power trunk release, no power seats, no intermittent wipers, a simple factory cassette player, no cruise.  But the body is awesome. It looks like it may have been repainted. If it was, it was done right. Great looking car. I didn't know when I pulled parts the first time that he was thinking of selling it. if I had known that at that time, I would've bought it. Oh well, I'm slowly grabbing the good stuff. Going back in two weeks for the dash and the window regulators and stereo..

Too bad you didn't live closer, I have a door, but again, shipping would be horrible for you.
