CFI TV rod to 5.0 SEFI TV cable January 02, 2014, 08:03:00 PM anyone have experience with converting from CFI tv rod to a cable setup , since we are swapping in a 5.0?I will have to buy everything pertaining to this part,, it just occurred to me.the last i recall, i put in a 1981 LTD transmission back in 2001 and this tranny had the rod.we are converting the engine so i want the cables to connect to the throttle body correctly Quote Selected
CFI TV rod to 5.0 SEFI TV cable Reply #1 – January 04, 2014, 11:22:05 AM Throttle body connection should be fine. I'd check the linkage on the side of the trans. Compare it to the one on your 25th (if they are both column shifted) and see if the brackets are different. If they are the same the cable should bolt right in place of the rod. If need be I can crawl under my Thunderbird and get a picture for you (it has a column shifter). Quote Selected
