Newb and my 86 Bird

Hey there, my name is Tony. Picked up this 86 a couple months ago. It's a 3.8 with a 101,000 miles on it. I'm planning on swapping in the EFI 5.0L out of my Mustang. I hope to have it done for HRPT in 2015 but we'll see how that plan works out.
Anyways, looks like a great board. It's hard to find tech info on these cars.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Welcome, I started here little over a year ago, with a blank t-bird, now with the help of the members, she is almost ready to roll.

Slapped on some 10 holes I had laying around. I can't find one of my center caps though. I'll have to pick one up on CL or something.

Wow that is a clean 4-eye.  Love the period correct black paint w/red pinstripe!  I'm not normally a fan, but the t-bird mudflaps are cool on that car for some reason!

I've only seen a handful of vent window cars in the last 10 years. 86 was the last year, and I would think the most rare.

That car is beautiful, the paint looks amazing. Any interior shots? Does the hood have pinstripes on it as well? For technical information, check out coolcats.net or use the search function on this board.
