Looking for upper intake vacuum fittings

I could make-do with my existing fittings and some T's, but I'd like to find the proper parts. The gt40 (tubular) intake doesn't fit without a spacer if I try to use the factory fitting for the PCV line - it is too tall and hits the valve cover. I've seen pictures online of some that look to be almost half an inch shorter than the one I have. I'm sure someone has something around their shop. Does anyone have some shorter vacuum fittings that I could use?

Example of the problem:

Fitting that doesn't work:

Nice shorter fittings:

If someone knows where I could find such a fitting locally, that would work also. General hardware stores lack the right parts.

Did you try Home Depot? The one by me has a bunch of fittings like that.

What valve covers are you running? The GT40 upper (Explorer) on mine hits the FRPP finned COBRA valve covers I'm running. The PCV fitting hits on the driver side and the throttle linkage hits on the passenger side. I just ran a 1/2" intake spacer from FRPP. That solved the problem. You may have to do the same for valve cover clearance.

I didn't have a problem with my Cobra intake. I'm using stock aluminum valve covers from a mustang.

The tubular intake has the two ports near the lower driver side which are unusable with my stock fittings, and two on the underside (compared to 4 on cast intakes). The one in the back I am using with the stock FPR/tree/smog splitter (and even here, it would be better to give the FPR its own dedicated vacuum fitting). The one in the front is all I have left for everything else vacuum related. I'd like to use the currently unusable ports by finding better fittings. Maybe I need to try an Ace Hardware. I didn't find anything that would work at the nearby Home Depot and Lowes is a bit of a drive.

Ace might have something. Do you have a Menards out by you? The Menards by me has the largets collection of brass plumbing fittings I've ever seen.

No Menards over here. They are located in the northern central part of the US.

Nuts. Do you know the size of the thread? I'll probably be at Menards this weekend so I can take a look through their plumbing section and see what I can find.

Try a plumbing supply store.  You'd be AMAZED at what they have.  Usually cheaper as well.

I will see what I can find. It has been in the teens here, temperature wise, so I haven't touched a thing.
