88 LS w/ crank windows

X X Heard that they existed, but have never seen one. I've also never seen that style wheel w/out cruise control.

I bought a pair of doors last fall that had manual windows...I gutted them as the door skins were pretty cancerous. Have plans to put the parts into a set of solid doors..if I can find some locally.

There's a set of minty fresh doors with manual windows at the local yard. White doors, blue panels. Zero rust, super nice door panels.

In any instance, they should have stuck with the chrome ones that you saw on 83-86's, those black plastic ones look out of place next to the chrome door handles.

Seems the majority of 87-93 Mustangs regardless if it's a 2.3 or a 5.0, had pwr mirrors/locks/windows/cruise control. Still, it catches me off guard when I see one without any of those options.

Speaking of Mustang stuff, I'd like to find a set of good and not broken manual windows and related parts for the '84 notch. Who doesn't care for pesky power windows? *raises hand*

I would like a power passenger side, and a manual driver side. That way I have the reliable crank where it counts, but I don't have to lay my fat ass across the console to roll down the passenger side!

I like the pesky power windows. I like the Sport have all the "Go" I need, and the comfy stuff too. I may buy the manual window tracks and hardware from the '88 Bird and store them for somebody who wants them later.

The only time I've ever seen that setup was on the Saturns, and it was mirrors, not windows.

Speaking of manual mirrors, I never understood why a lot of automakers put the joystick for the pass side mirror was on the pass door, since the mirrors are so the DRIVER can see, I always liked when they put the pass side joystick on the dash to the right of the steering column.

I like when there is only a drivers mirror and none on the passenger side

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

My '80 tbird has that setup. Kinda sucks when you park in the right-side of a 2-car garage. When you back out, it's hard to see where the edge of the door opening is. Oh well, at least there is no mirror to rip off if you cut it too close, so it's a self-resolving problem.
