Stroker memebers here running EFI, not carb, What is working for you

Who has an EFI stroker running as a daily driver and what combo worked for you?
sbf tech is helping as well, i guess im lucky to even get a reply over there being new.

trying to stick with oem JY parts to manage the air/fuel
we have a 2.2k budget, (excluding machine work)
we have a running 88 tbird sport with explorer intake parts, stock engine/heads, 2 1/2'' exhaust, stock headers.
we have a 140k mile complete 97 exporer motor which will become the motor that is dropped in the bird.
we have 19lb spare injectors, 86 MKVII HO SD EEC
i have a 5 day window to make this work.

jcassity,

I have a 331 in my Coupe with 42 lb/hr injectors and it is mass air with a dyno tuned SCT chip and a shiznit load of other mods which is why I have to have a tune.  If you want my honest opinion then here it is, take the explorer motor as is and install it in your son's car.  Use the Mark VII EEC, the 19 lb/hr injectors, change the cam to an HO cam and be done with it.  This will give you time to work out any bugs and it will be a hell of an improvement over what he currently has in the car.  You will have to rob a few parts off the existing motor like the BBK 65mm TB and possibly the oil pan (don't remember what the Explorers come with).  This will be a great daily driver and allow him to get used to the additional power.  IF the car is an auto then I would stay away from the 331 or 347 for now until you can figure out if you want to go with a T-5 conversion or build the AOD to handle the torque and hp from the additional cubes.

It sounds like you are pretty well versed in electrical and mechanical so another option is to go ahead and convert your son's car over to mass air with the installation of the explorer motor.  Its gonna be about the same work as swapping over to the Mark VII EEC and all that SO stuff anyhow.  Will it cost more, sure but it will be worth it later down the road when you want to step up to the 331 or 347.

If you decide to go the stroker route you are kidding yourself with 24 lb/hr injectors.  I maxed mine out on my 302 at 289 rwhp with a T-5 and 3.73's.  All I did was swap to 42 lb/hr injectors and put it back on the dyno (reflashed the chip for the larger injectors) and it put down about 315 rwhp.  Were the 42 lb/hr overkill, yup but the car now has a 331 in it so its all good.  36 lb/hr would have been more in line with a 331 or 347 but I got a great deal on the 42's.

I used 30lb injectors with a maf sensor calibrated for the injectors and a 70mm TB on a 302 daily driver. I now have a 347 stroker with the same 30lb injectors with a 75mm TB in my drag car with a tune and no problem. I will be switching to carb in the future.

On another note I have a 70mm TB for sale. Trying to sell it for a friend.

I have a 331 with Mass-Flo efi on top of it. If I had to do it again I'd go with a quarter horse and stock setup to save some cash. The mass flo setup runs decent but needs tuned.
88 Turbocoupe: Coast High Performance 331 kit 28oz balance, Comp XE264HR14 cam, 58cc 185 afr heads, 1.7 roller rockers, Mass-Flo EFI (was POS to setup and their techline is a joke at best)
Full 1 5/8 primary equal length headers, 2 1/2 exhaust, Full manual reverse VB c4 and baked off clear coat "BECAUSE RACECAR"
